Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives a general right of access to all types of ‘recorded’ information held by ‘public authorities’ .   Application requests must be in writing, in a legible form and capable of being used for subsequent reference (an email would be suffice).  Public authorities should respond to requests promptly but no later than 20 working days following its receipt.
