Set in the Granta valley between rolling hills, Linton has a long history stretching back some 5000 years to Neolithic times. The Romans and the Saxons also had substantial settlements here. The centre, around ½ mile square, has been a conservation area for many years with listings on a wealth of 14th – 15th century buildings as well as all flint walls, trees and hedges.
Thought to be the only village in England with both a Zoo and a Vineyard, Linton is a visual treat but also a working environment without losing its rural background. Several small businesses offer local employment and more opportunities exist in Cambridge 12 miles away
The village, well served by bus routes, is within easy distance of the main road arteries, M11, A11 and A14, and around 40 minutes from Stansted airport. For more travel details please click access
